Development and Application of Wireless techNlogy for buildING energy and environmental audit – 2007/2011 – 42 months.
Project team: Politecnico di Torino, Capetti Elettronica S.r.l., Onleco S.r.l.
Project funded by the Piedmont Region within the framework of the regional call for industrial research and precompetitive development for the year 2006 on alternative and renewable energies. The project includes energy and environmental monitoring for different buildings with various uses, utilizing innovative wireless measurement systems, followed by numerical analysis through modeling methodologies based on an inverse approach, specifically of the black-box type. The DAWNING project has developed the following activities: the buildout of tools for acquiring environmental and energy-related data using wireless technology; the creation of protocols for using wireless tools in energy and environmental monitoring applications; the development of methodologies for processing the collected data within the scope of energy and environmental assessment activities for buildings; the application of tools, protocols, and methodologies to some case studies.
