The project aims to develop an integrated, flexible, and industrializable building system at a low construction and operational cost, targeting the residential or tertiary market. This will be achieved through the development of an innovative process of integrated design, commissioning, and industrial realization. Specifically, the project involves: the development of an integrated and industrializable building system, flexible in architectural choices; the reduction of construction/operational costs throughout the average product life cycle, through integrated design, selection of the best technological solutions (for the envelope, structure, and systems), reduction of waste and production/implementation times; the ability to guarantee a high level of performance (comfort, user-friendly management, environmental sustainability, energy savings, quality, and durability) at a low cost of realization and management, and the performance of the finished product, through the definition of commissioning procedures related to design, construction, and post-occupancy verification activities. The project objectives are aligned with the objectives of the PORR Piedmont Region 2007-2013, in terms of the development of eco-efficient and sustainability-oriented production chains, energy savings in buildings, and the development and use of renewable sources.
