ENERGY Certificated Building Operative eXamination – 2010/2012 – 24 months.

Project aimed at defining a reference measure of the energy-environmental performance of buildings with certified instrumentation and the development of innovative products and services for energy savings. Specifically, the project focused on: designing and implementing suitable instrumentation to meet the needs of certified measurements of the energy and environmental performance of buildings; defining measurement procedures and related services for professionals, Energy Managers, and public entities; establishing a regional center for calibration/reference of the instrumentation. In particular, the project concentrated on developing the necessary instrumentation to: perform the preliminary calibration verification in situ of probes for measuring temperature and relative humidity in confined spaces; measure the thermal conductivity in situ of opaque portions of building envelope elements. In this context, with particular reference to thermoflussimetric measurements, the primary standard was also developed, currently housed at INRIM, and the accreditation procedure at the European level was initiated.
