The feasibility study for S&N-S Light (Speech & Noise Stop Light) focus on verifying the development and commercialization of an intelligent sound level device with a light indicator for exceeding noise limits. This device can be helpful in controlling noise from chatter in both indoor (cafeterias, schools, restaurants, conference rooms, waiting rooms, etc.) and outdoor (patios) environments, leading to an improvement in the acoustic quality of these spaces. The study aims to assess the feasibility of a rough prototype of the device, estimating its costs, and evaluating its potential applications and revenues.

For the feasibility study, the development of the internal components of the device is planned to obtain a functioning prototype. Simultaneously, the service to be offered will be defined, and potential scenarios of use will be explored. S&N-S Light is an automatic system for signaling the exceeding of anthropic noise level values compared to preset limits, adjustable depending on the intended use of the environment where the system is placed. The signaling, in a traffic light style, occurs through the activation of three LED lamps—green, yellow, and red—corresponding to different limit levels.
